Furnished Monthly Rentals in Cleveland: Who They Fit, Which Neighborhood, and How Booking Works
By Jordan
A month in Cleveland, Ohio, is long enough that a hotel room starts to feel small, and short enough that signing a lease doesn't make sense. That gap is where a furnished monthly rental fits.
We host a lot of these stays: travel nurses on 13-week contracts, residents on rotation, families with someone in treatment, researchers spending a semester at University Circle, and people between homes. This guide is about the decisions that come before the checklist. Is a 30-plus night stay the right fit for you? Which neighborhood matches your days? And how do booking, extensions, and coming back again work with us?
If you already know you want a monthly stay and want to compare what's included, start with our companion guide: Monthly Rentals in Cleveland: What's Included and What to Ask.
Planning a month or longer? The inquiry form on our monthly stays page is the quickest way to tell us your dates and what you need.
Who a 30+ night furnished stay is for
Travel nurses and medical staff
A contract or rotation usually comes with a start date, an end date that might move, and shifts at odd hours. You need a real bed, a kitchen for meal prep, laundry for scrubs, and a straightforward commute. Extensions are common, so flexibility matters. We go deeper on this in our travel nurse guide to Cleveland neighborhoods.
Patients and caregivers
Treatment at Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals can stretch from a week into several. A furnished home gives a patient room to rest and a caregiver their own bedroom. If you qualify for a nonprofit option like Hope Lodge or Ronald McDonald House, check those first; we explain how they compare in where to stay near Cleveland Clinic.
Academics, researchers, and visiting professionals
A semester, a fellowship, or a long project at Case Western or one of the University Circle institutions often runs one to several months. A workspace and reliable internet matter as much as the bed.
People between homes
Selling one house before closing on the next, relocating for a job, or waiting out a renovation. You want somewhere that feels like home while you figure out the rest. If you're bringing a dog, the yard and parking situation matter more than usual.
When a monthly stay probably isn't right
- You need a front desk or daily housekeeping. A hotel is a better fit. We don't provide scheduled mid-stay cleaning or linen changes; you can message us if you'd like a refresh.
- You need a Clinic shuttle pickup. Cleveland Clinic's main-campus shuttle serves its own facilities, the three on-campus hotels, Ronald McDonald House, and certain partner sites, per its transportation page. It doesn't list private rentals.
- You're staying a year. At that point, a traditional lease may cost less.
Which neighborhood fits your month
We have homes in three neighborhoods, plus one large apartment near Cleveland Clinic main campus. Here's how they compare for a longer stay.

Little Italy: walk to work, skip the car
Little Italy sits right next to University Circle. Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals, and the Red Line are a short walk away. If your days are at UH or Case, you may not need a car at all. The Red Line also runs to Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
Two of the four Little Italy apartments are on the first floor; the other two are about 15 steps up. See furnished rentals in Little Italy.
Ohio City: west side, near downtown, easy parking
Ohio City has the West Side Market, restaurants, and breweries, and it's close to downtown and MetroHealth. All five of our Ohio City homes list free on-site parking, which makes a car-based month simple. Some are upstairs and some are on the ground floor, so check the listing if stairs matter.
The spacious 2-bedroom with free parking is a good example: two bedrooms, an in-unit washer and dryer, self check-in, and parking near West Side Market. See all Ohio City stays.
Larchmere: a house, a yard, and room to breathe
The 3-bedroom Larchmere house is our only standalone house. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms upstairs, two full baths, a fenced yard, and free on-site parking. It's a quiet east-side base about 10–15 minutes by car from Cleveland Clinic main campus (approximate). For a month with a dog, or a family rotating caregivers, it gives everyone the most space. See Larchmere.
Near Cleveland Clinic: the big group option
The 4-bedroom apartment near Cleveland Clinic sleeps eight across four queen bedrooms and two baths. It's on the second and third floors, so stairs are required, and a long driveway gives guests dedicated parking. See stays near Cleveland Clinic.
What stays the same at every home
Wherever you land, a few things don't change:

- A full kitchen for cooking on your own schedule.
- Self check-in with a smart lock. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout is at 11 a.m.
- Pets welcome, with any pet fee shown before you pay. Fees and limits vary by home.
- No smoking, at any home.

How booking a month works with us
- Check the calendar. Open the listing and enter your dates. Minimum stays vary by home and date, so the calendar is the source of truth.
- Or send an inquiry. If your dates look held, your start date is still moving, or you're planning several months, use the inquiry form on our monthly stays page. Tell us who's staying, your dates, and anything that matters (stairs, parking, pets, workspace).
- Review the full price. The total shows before you pay: nightly rate, cleaning fee, any pet fee, taxes, and any service fee. We don't publish a percentage discount for monthly stays, so use the price shown for your dates.
- Read the cancellation terms. They depend on the home and dates, and they show before you confirm.
- Message us anytime. Your booking details include a messaging link. A small local team answers.
Extensions, early changes, and coming back
Long stays change. Contracts get renewed, treatment runs longer, closings slip. Here's how we handle it:
- Extending. If you need more time and the home is free, we'll extend your stay. Tell us as early as you can so the dates don't get taken. If your home isn't available, we'll check our other homes nearby.
- Leaving early. Cancellation terms depend on the home and the dates you booked. Read them before you confirm, and message us as soon as plans change.
- Coming back. Guests come back for all kinds of reasons: a second contract, follow-up appointments, another semester. When you come back, book on our site and message us with your dates. We already know your stay, and you already know the home.
- Sending someone our way. If a colleague or a friend needs a place in Cleveland, point them to our homes or our monthly stays page. Word of mouth means a lot to a small local team like ours.
